PCB notifies ICA

ISLAMABAD, June 20: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially notified the Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA)following the dismissal Monday of two writ petitions that had challenged the May 2 elections of the association.

The notification accepts Mohammad Ishaq Bhatti as the new president of the ICA with Irfan Manzur as the secretary and Hassan Asghar the treasurer.

Justice Mohammad Akhtar Shabbir of the Lahore High Court (Rawalpindi Bench) had dismissed the petitions which were filed by Mohammad Yousaf, presidential candidate Kh. Mohammad Mustafa and the presidents of Jinnah and CRA (Away) Clubs, Zahid Mehmood and Ch. Abdul Ghaffar.

While appreciating the leadership of PCB chief, Lt. Gen Tauqir Zia, Ishaq Bhatti said that he would serve the cause of cricket with honesty and dedication.
