KARACHI: Work on Burns Centre continues

KARACHI, June 18: Sindh Health Minister Ahsan Ahmad on Tuesday said the government is striving hard for the provision of quality health facilities to the masses at their doorsteps.

He stated this during a visit to the Burns Centre at the Civil Hospital Karachi.

The minister said special emphasis was laid on strengthening rural health and basic health centres and hospitals established in the far-flung areas of the province.

“Besides, instructions were issued to all the EDOs (health) to pay regular visits to these centres in order to evaluate its performance,” he added.

President of the Friends of Burns Centre, Abdullah Feroz, said the construction work was in full swing at the centre and it was expected to be completed in the stipulated time.

The minister appreciated the spirit of a child of the City School, PAF chapter, who donated his three months’ pocket money for the construction of the centre.—PPI
