Over 50,000 AIOU students in Faisalabad

TOBA TEK SINGH, June 17: Over 50,000 students, mostly women, are doing various courses through Allama Iqbal Open University in all the three districts of the Faisalabad division.

This was stated by Faisalabad region AIOU director Obaid Aslam while talking to newsmen here on Monday.

He said the AIOU had also started classes for teachers training courses at Gojra, Toba and Kamalia tehsil headquarters.

To a question, he said that only students having BA journalism degree were eligible to get admission in MSc mass communication. However, admissions could be given to students who passed journalism as an additional subject from university, he said.

The director also conducted surprise visits to various examination centres of university in the district.
