Nazim wants Wapda to cooperate

By Our Correspondent

SWABI, June 16: The district Nazim, Sher Zaman Sher, has given up his decision to tender his resignation as a protest against what was claimed the non-cooperative behaviour of the Wapda officials, said insiders here the other day.

The district was in grip of a report that the district Nazim wanted to tender his resignation but the Collective Independent Swabi Group (CISG)  members told him that if he does so they would also give en bloc resignations.

The insiders said that on the directive of the district Nazim Rs20 million worth Wapda development work had been prepared thrice but each time it was rejected by the concerned officials, especially by the X-en Swabi division.

When contacted the Wapda officials said they will uphold the rules and regulations of their department and if any one wants to force them to violate rules it will not be acceptable in any circumstances, saying that they have prepared the estimate of development works, sent it to the district Nazim office and now it depends upon the district council to sanctions it or not.
