ISLAMABAD, June 13: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has finalised a five-member team for next month’s Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Mansoor Zaman, Shahid Zaman, Shamsul Islam, Mohammad Ilyas and Farrukh Zaman were picked by the PSF selection committee for the games that run from July 25 to Aug 4. Ijaz Azmat, however could not make the grade.

Jahangir Khan had already been named the manager of the side that will take part in the individual, team and doubles event of the Games.

The PSF plans to hold a 15-day camp either in Karachi or Peshawar in mid-July before the team leaves with the Pakistan contingent for England.

Currently, Mansoor and Farrukh are training in Peshawar while Shahid would begin preparing soon under Zarak Jahan Khan in Karachi. Shams and Ilyas on the other hand are in Islamabad and are being coached by Rehmat Khan.

The selected team is likely to be approved at the annual general meeting of the PSF on June 25 in Rawalpindi.
