Bandit held, cop injured in ‘encounter’
Sukkur, June 12: A bandit was arrested and a police constable was injured in an “encounter” between the dacoits and a police party in Bahoo Khoso near Thul on Monday night.
Police sources claimed that the encounter continued for half an hour as a result one of the dacoit identified as Shah Murad alias Kaloo Kambrani was wounded and later arrested.
On his pointation the police party raided the bandits’ hideout and recovered 3 rifles and sizable quantity of ammunition.
The injured constable Nizamuddin was shifted to Larkana. Police sources claimed that the gang of dacoits was also involved in the kidnapping of Asghar Arain from Thul last month.
