22 districts declared calamity-hit

QUETTA, June 12: The Balochistan government on Wednesday declared the 22 districts of the province, except parts of Quetta and Nasirabad, calamity-hit under Section 3 of the Balochistan National Calamities Act, 1958, with immediate effect, due to prolonged drought.

According to a notification, the Balochistan relief commissioner has remitted all government dues payable by the registered population of the drought-hit areas till the subsistence of the calamity
