2 convicted of drug trafficking

MULTAN, June 11: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday convicted two people in a drug trafficking case while acquitted their accomplice.

Convict Muhammad Khalid and Akbar Khan were handed down life imprisonment and Rs1 million fine each. They will have to undergo one-year imprisonment in case of default of fine. Mansha Rizwan was acquitted.

The ANF had arrested Mansha Rizwan, Muhammad Khalid and Akbar Khan on May 5, 1999, with 35 kilograms of hashish.—APP
