KARACHI: PML (N) manifesto to aim at well-being of people

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 9: The new manifesto of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) aims at a sovereign Pakistan, well-being of the people and their aspirations, said the chairman of the PML (N) manifesto committee, Ahsan Iqbal, while presiding over a meeting of the Sindh Manifesto Committee of the party here on Sunday.

He said despite international pressure and offers Nawaz Sharif carried out nuclear test to ensure the security and sovereignty of Pakistan, and initiated many projects like distribution of lands to landless farmers, the motorway and the yellow cab scheme for the welfare of the people. But the military regime, he alleged, had put the solidarity and sovereignty of the country at stake.

The Senior Central Vice President of the PML (N), Mian Ejaz Shafi, said the new manifesto of the party would usher a revolution in the life of the people. The party workers were united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, he added.

The Acting President of the PML (N) Sindh, Imdad Husain Chandio, said in the coming elections the party would issue tickets to party workers coming from the middle class.
