KARACHI, June 4: Olympic carrying edible oil was accommodated berth at Marginal Wharf during the last 24 hours, according to a PQA press release on Tuesday. Meanwhile, two more ships carrying iron ore and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Five ships, Olympic, Christina Venture, Al Maqwa, Minerva Island and Silver were engaged loading and discharging wheat and edible oil, general cargo, high speed diesel oil and iron ore respectively. A cargo volume of 44,183 tons comprising 4,248 tons of export cargo and 39,935 tons of import cargo was handled. Following is the detail of cargo handling: Commodity Import Export Wheat — 4,248 Gen. cargo 2,561 — Edible oil 1,920 — Iron ore 2,879 — HSD oil 32,575 — Sub-total 39,935 4,248 Total 44,183 Following ships were at the outer anchorage: Vessel Commodity Agent Full Sources Iron ore Pak Steel Botany Treasure Edible oil Asia Marine Venture Furnace oil M.M.Marine Global Discovery Wheat Ocean Services Minerva Island sailed out while Al Maqwa and Christina Venture were due to leave. Global Discovery and Full Sources were expected to take berths on Tuesday.
