PTCL version on CSC

KARACHI, May 31: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has issued its version on a news item captioned ‘PTCL centre without facilities’ appeared in the May 30 issue of Dawn.

It clarified that the facility of computerized duplicate bills was available at the upper storey of the Customer Service Centre, Nawabshah. It acknowledged non-availability of water cooler at the centre but said that arrangements had been made to serve cold water to the staff as well as the customers adding that the staff had also the facility of toilets within the building.

The company said that separate cabins existed at the CSC to ensure secrecy of private conversation. About computerized inquiry system, it claimed that the same was not available in the whole town.

PTCL said it had received ‘not a single complaint’ on the performance of ‘17’ (inquiry service).
