Two murdered in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA, May 29: Two people were murdered on Wednesday in different parts of the district.

Liaquat, a labourer in Quality Textile Mills, Faisalabad Road, was stabbed to death by his colleague Zafar Iqbal over money dispute on factory premises at Bhekhi village, some 16 kilometres from here.

Bhekhi police are investigating the matter.

A man was axed to death over litigation by his rival at Abdullahpur village, some 40 kilometres from here.

Nasir Javed was on his way home when his rival Hamid Ahmad attacked him with an axe, killing him on the spot.

Safdarabad police are going into the matter.

CRUSHED: A teenager was crushed to death on Wednesday by a speeding tractor-trolley near Dera Bhunguwan on the Mirza Virkan Road.

Shabbir was crossing the road when the incident occurred. The driver managed to escape from the scene.

Saddar police are looking into the matter.

injured: An elderly woman was injured by her two relatives on Wednesday over a dispute in Asman village.

Reports said Rasoolan came to Asman village to see her married daughter when Irshad and Tariq attacked and injured her.

She was taken to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore, in critical condition.

Khanqah Dogran police are investigating.
