HYDERABAD, May 27: A woman has expressed fears that her son, who had surrendered before police, might have been killed and demanded of the authorities to take legal action against the police officers concerned.
The woman, Siyani Majeedani, resident of Memon Wasi, near Matiari, was speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday. Her relatives, Ms Sodhi, Ms Bhagal, Ms Dadan and Mohammad Sajjan, were also present.
She alleged that about one month back, DSP Mustafa Korai and Matiari police station SHO Gul Mohammad Chachar had summoned the family members and told them that Anwar Majeedano, her son, was wanted by the police in a case of the Qasimabad police station.
Ms Siyani, wife of Lal Buksh, said her son was produced before the police officers and since then, she added, the whereabouts of her son were not known.
She said when she approached the DSP and the SHO, she was informed that her son had been handed over to the CIA police. However, she said, the CIA police had told her that her son had never been handed over to them.
She demanded of the authorities concerned to inform her about the whereabouts of her son.
