Three die of heatstroke

VEHARI, May 23: A schoolgirl and a woman died of heatstroke while five labourers fell unconscious in different parts of the district.

Schoolgirl Rehana collapsed on her way back home from school in Jalla Jeem area. She died within minutes.

Ghafooran bibi died of heatstroke when she was returning home on foot after shopping.

Five labourers fell unconscious while working in Muslim Town, Pirmurad and Danywal localities. They were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

GUJRANWALA: A factory worker died of heatstroke in Kamoki.

Reports said Muhammad Imran was working in a shoe manufacturing company when he fainted.

He breathed his last on his way to the local Civil Hospital.
