GUJRANWALA, May 20: A known religious leader and former Punjab Jamiat Ahle Hadith amir and International Islamic Council Pakistan chairman, Allama Muhammad Yousaf Zia, died in his bed here on Monday.
He was the father of journalist Atiq Yousaf Zia.
A large number of people attended his funeral prayers. He was buried in his native town, Qila Dedar Singh.
The deceased played an active role in various Islamic movements and established seminaries in several foreign countries.
