Man wanted in DSP’s murder held

LAKKI MARWAT, May 12: The police have arrested three alleged criminals, including one wanted in the murder case of DSP Haji Sultan Mehmud, in an operation against anti-social elements in the Lakki Marwat district.

The two proclaimed offenders, Burhan and Changez Khan, surrendered to the police without any resistance.

In another raid, Dadiwala police SHO Gul Akbar Khan arrested an alleged criminal Zarin Khan, who was wanted in the murder case of Serai Naurang DSP Haji Sultan, after he put up stiff resistance and exchange fire with the police. The accused was nabbed after he received a bullet in the leg. He was hospitalized for the injury.

The accused is also involved in various cases of kidnapping of women from other cities, murder and attempt to murder, dacoities and attacking police personnel.

He is also wanted to the Karak district police in various other cases.

The Serai Naurang police also arrested a proclaimed offender, Gul Salam.
