BAHAWALNAGAR, May 12: A local DSP has refused to take action against his counterpart on the application recommended by the Punjab governor, it is learnt.

Information gleaned by this correspondent on Sunday revealed widow Shabnam Shaukat filed an application with the police against her in-laws, demanding recovery of right of property.

Dawn learnt on Sunday the three departments were investigation, police station staff and patrolling parties.

At least five cars and 30 two-wheelers will be given to the investigation department in the district. The investigators will wear blue caps.

A constable will be appointed with the investigating officer.
