HYDERABAD: MQM, JSQM criticize Thal project

HYDERABAD, May 12: The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) and JSQM have resolved to launch a joint movement against the greater Thal canal project, and alleged ‘supremacy’ of Punjab in regulating water affairs.

According to a press release, the decision to wage a joint struggle was taken at a meeting between the acting chairman of the Mahaz, Shafi Karnani and Mutahidda leaders Aftab Shaikh, Nasreen Jalil and others in Karachi on Sunday.
