LARKANA, May 12: Police have arrested three notorious criminals for their alleged involvement in the killing of seven people.

They were also involved in a number of dacoities. Arms were also recovered from their possession.

Talking to newsmen, District Police Officer Ghulam Nabi Memon said that DSP Saddar along with Taluka police on tip-off raided a village near ‘Jhukar-jo-daro’ on the Indus highway and arrested Ali Dost Lashari, and recovered a Klashnikov from his possession.

The police official said that Lashari was absconding after allegedly killing Haji Gulbahar, Haji Ahmed Ali, Haji Ghulam Shabbir, Muhammad Jumman Lashari and Muhammad Rafiq.

The official said that Kambar police, on a tip-off, raided the hideouts of two notorious dacoits on Kambar-Dost Ali link road and arrested them.

The dacoits were identified as Gul Hassan Chandio and Zahoor Chandio.

Gul Hassan Chandio in 1994 had allegedly killed Imdad Chandio and Lal Khatoon, and had been absconding since then. The DPO said that more than 20 cases are pending against the accused.

The police official said that Badah police in a raid on village Obhayo Lakhir on Sunday arrested a bandit, Shamoon Sargani, and recovered arms from his possession.

He in 1992 had allegedly attacked a CIA police party at Badah Bridge and killed police constable Abdul Latif and injured a number of others.
