Suspension period of 17 cos extended


KARACHI, May 10: The management of Karachi Stock Exchange has extended the suspension period for trading in the shares of 17 defaulting companies for a further period of 60 days with effect from May 12, 2002.

Trading in shares of the following companies will remain suspended for 60 days or until such time as the cause of suspension is removed under Listing Regulations No.5(2)(iii) read with Section 9 of the Securities and Exchange Ordinance 1969:

First Tawakkal Modaraba, Tawakkal Garment Industries, Tawakkal Polyester Industries, Tawakkal Limited, Kohinoor Looms, Zahur Textile Mills, Mian Mohammad Sugar Mills, Al-Husainy Industries, Standard Insurance Company, Ayaz Textile Mills, Mohib Exports, The National Silk & Rayon Mills, Data Agro Limited, Muslim Ghee Mills, Ittefaq Textile Mills, Harnai Woollen Mills and Bela Engineering.—APP
