KARACHI, May 8: Two ships carrying containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing occupancy at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to steady berthing and sailing, the average being 67 per cent and 46 per cent both at the oil piers and the dry berths.

Four ships, Mol Sincerity, Wan Hai-235, Ping Jiang, and Al-Velos were berthed to offload and load containers and general cargo and unload oil after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included MSC Aurora, Conti Cartagena, Iwato, Lanner and Team Saturn, while Wan Hai-235, Al-Velos, Lanka Mahapola, Al-Mirqab and Safe Marine Ruvu are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves modest totalling 54,730 tons comprising 2,855 tons of export cargo and 51,877 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Chang, to load 8,000 tons of molasses and Winco Feeder, with containers.
