LAHORE, May 7: A ticklish card of six events awaits race- goers at the mid-week Lahore Gymkhana races to be held at the Racecourse Wednesday.

The events are made up of mediocre runners belonging to division four down to the bottom division of the Lahore Gymkhana Class VII.

Majority of the acceptors are there just to make the field because every one wants races to continue during summer season when most of the owners have started resting their charges.

In the running are such contestants who have seldom won or appeared on the board, as well as runners, who have won once or twice and are in the process of demotion in the handicap.

Some of the mounts have remained unsound over a long period, and have been retrained to be put back on track.

In such a situation picking a winner may prove to be a difficult task for punters particularly in events having big fields.

All events will be contested over the sprinting distance of 900 metres. The first race will be held at 2.30 pm.
