MINGORA, May 7: The employees of Small Hydle Development Organization (Shydo), NWFP, have threatened to close down the 12 power stations and launch a movement against the government’s decision to give them on lease to private parties.

Talking to newsmen on Monday, the office-bearers of the Small Hydle Labour Union, Mehtab Khan, Mohammad Ali Khan and others demanded implementation of the verdict given by the services tribunal in favour of the employees.

They said they were not taken into confidence about giving the SHYDO on lease, which had caused unrest among them.

They said the employees had been adjusted in the Shydo from the irrigation department and they were entitled to incentives like pension and golden handshake. They demanded that the employees should be adjusted into some regular department, offered golden handshake or sent to the surplus pool.
