PESHAWAR, April 21: The Pakistan Awami Party (PAP) has demanded of the government to give ownership rights to Katcha Abadi dwellers and to resolve problems of the coal miners.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, PAP President Fanoos Gujar proposed that the government should chalk out a plan to provide homes to the homeless people.
He stressed upon the government to give ownership rights to the people of Kaghan, Tanawal and Swat in the land commission property.
The leader said the PAP fully supported the referendum, and directed the workers to fully participate in Gen Musharraf’s public meeting in Peshawar, scheduled to be held at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
He said the party had formed planning committees in all districts to finalize arrangements for the forthcoming meeting.
Mr Gujar said the PAP was a democratic party, and took all decisions in a democratic. He said that out of 3,315 a total of 2,884 elected Nazimeen and councillors supported the policies of President Gen Pervez Musharraf, and decided to take part in the forthcoming referendum.
Government’s reforms, he said, had not only improved the country’s image internationally, but also restored the confidence of the investors.
The leader urged the government to continue accountability process and recover looted amount from the corrupt elements.
