KARACHI, March 31: Corps Commander Tariq Waseem Ghazi conferred medals upon various military officers here on Saturday.

They were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) by the government on March 23 for rendering meritorious services to the nation.

These officers are: Col Fazal-i-Maqbool Afridi, Col. Ahmed Khan Baloch, Lt-Col Iftikharuddin, Lt-Col Khalilur-Rehman, Lt-Col Muhammad Akhtar Javed, Lt-Col Syed Safdar Ali, Lt-Col Abdul Malik, Lt-Col Muhammad Aslam, Lt-Col Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, Lt-Col Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Lt-Col Mushtaq Ahmad, Lt-Col Maqbool Ahmed, Lt-Col Sher Zaman Khan, Lt-Col Saleem Sarwar, Lt-Col Abdul Haq, Lt-Col Mrs. Shahida Tahir Nagi, Lt-Col Abdul Rehman, Major Rais Ahmed Khan, Major Ehsan Raza, Maj Muhammad Ahmed, Maj Rab Nawaz, Maj Raza Mustafa Ali and Maj Mohammad Zubair.

The ceremony was attended by high ranking military officers and relatives of the award winners.—APP
