Afghan consulate opened

QUETTA, March 30: The Afghan national flag was hoisted at its consulate at an impressive but simple ceremony here on Saturday.

The deputy leader of the Afghan Interim Administration, Dr Sima Samar, and Kandahar Governor Gul Agha Sherzai Waali raised the three-coloured flag to the mast head for inaugurating the consulate formally.

The ceremony was attended by Pakistani and Afghan guests. Afghans from every walk of life participated in the ceremony.

Afghan students presented national songs and made various artistic presentations.—PPI
