Bandit shot dead, two villagers hurt in crossfire

RAHIM YAR KHAN, March 29: A bandit was shot dead while two villagers sustained injuries in an exchange of firing in Muslimabad, here on Friday.

Information gleaned by this correspondent disclosed landlord Abdul Shakoor arranged a charity show to commemorate his aunt’s death anniversary.

At 9pm, he and his friend Akram were going to dera when three bandits intercepted them. The two friends raised hue and cry and the guests came out. In the firing that ensued, one of the bandits Imran Ali Sundhyani was shot dead while Akram and another villager Yaqoob sustained injuries. They were admitted to the Rajanpur Hospital.

The villagers who joined the guests found the body of the bandit from the wheat farm. They also recovered a kalashnikove and some magazines.
