HYDERABAD, March 26: The authorities of the University of Sindh on Tuesday cancelled the admissions of four students for violating the admission rules of the university.

The director, admissions, through a notification announced the cancellation of the admission of Salman Akhtar son of Akhtar Yousufzai, for submitting fake domicile certificate and PRC of Thatta district for admission in BS (IT) part-I during academic session of 2002, and that of Nouman Khan, son of Fareed Khan Niazi, who produced fake domicile and PRC of Tharparkar district to seek admission in BBA (Hons) part-I for the academic session 2002.

The university authorities have also debarred them from seeking admission in the University of Sindh for two years up to academic year 2004.

According to another notification issued by the director, admissions, the admission in MA (previous), Mass Communication, for the academic year 2001-2002 of Rafat Jahan daughter of Abdul Jamil Khan was cancelled on the grounds that she had sought admission by concealing the facts that she had already passed her MA in International Relations in the academic year 2000-2001.

A penalty of Rs4,000 has been imposed on her and her degree of MA, International Relations, has also been withheld till she pays the penalty.

In yet another notification, the admission of Shumaila Kiran daughter of Toufique Ahmed was also cancelled.

She had sought admission in BSc (Hons) part-III, Zoology for the academic year 2001-2002 and also sought admission in MBA (previous) during the session of 2002 on the basis of having passed B.Com part-II.

The university authorities have cancelled both the admissions of BSc (Hons) part-III, Zoology, and MBA (previous).
