ISLAMABAD, March 20: To cope with the growing demand of automobiles in the country, the Ministry of Industries and Production has asked the manufacturers to gear up production to ensure sufficient supplies availability with minimum waiting period.

These views were expressed by Commerce Minister Abdul Razak Dawood in a meeting with the automobile manufacturers here on Wednesday.

The commerce minister said that keeping the consumer behaviour and social fabric in mind, manufacturer must came up with diversified production with adequate supply reserves.

The minister directed the manufacturers to submit their production status to him on fortnightly basis so as to shed away the misconception of “short supply” created by the dealers.
