KARACHI, March 15: The revised date-sheets for SSC annual examinations now to be held from March 30 would be made available at schools on March 18, it has been learnt officially.
A senior official at the Board of Secondary School, Karachi, said on Friday that the date-sheets were almost ready for supply to schools.
He said that group leaders engaged for examination purposes would be delivered the sheets on Sunday for onward distribution to schools on Monday.
Meanwhile, the controller of examinations, Muhammad Salim Khan, told Dawn that admit cards of regular students had been delivered to schools and the students who had not received the cards so far could contact their respective schools for the purpose.
He said that the board was also conducting a survey of schools to ensure that admit cards had been received at schools and were also being handed over to students. He said that candidates failing to get the cards could contact the BSE on March 22.
It was further said that BSE had decided to allow a chance to appear in the examinations to all those students who had submitted their forms, without any scrutiny or fulfilling other requirements.
“There are 300 to 400 forms which have been found erroneous, but we would allow the candidates in question to appear in the examinations with the condition that they would fulfil the necessary prerequisites and get the BSE’s objections removed in their cases after the examinations”, the controller of examinations clarified.
NOTIFICATION: A BSE notification said that forms from the failures of supplementary examinations would be accepted with a late fee of Rs 200 on March 20, while admits cards would be delivered to all such candidates from March 26 through their schools.
Only those candidates of SSC Part-I (Class IX) and SSC Part- II (Class X) Science and General groups (regular and private) were eligible who appeared in the SSC Part-I examinations 2000 and onwards for the first time and failed to submit their examination forms on given dates from time to time, added the notification.
