KARACHI, March 15: The President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), A. Q. Khalil has expressed concern over the declining trends in the exports and demanded appropriate steps to reverse the situation.

Khalil, in a statement on Friday, said though there has been a three per cent fall in the exports during eight months of the current fiscal year, the exports in the textile sector has shown a decline of about 10 per cent in February.

He said the export of nine textile products during February amounted to $396.30 million. These products fetched $442.73 million in January and $460.80 million in February last year.—APP
