KARACHI, March 12: A young man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Shershah on Tuesday.

DROWNED: An unidentified man, in his mid twenties, drowned and his body was found at the beach of Clifton on Tuesday.

Police shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy, where it remained unidentified. The body was later kept at the Edhi morgue for identification.

WOUNDED: A man shot and wounded his father-in-law and mother- in-law over a domestic dispute in Shershah on Tuesday, and fled.

Police said Irfan had married Rubina a year back. Rubina had a dispute with her husband and went to her parents home where she gave birth to a baby girl. When the baby became one-month-old, Irfan came to his in-laws’ house and wanted his wife and the child to return home.

Rubina’s parents, Mohammad Hanif, 60, and Mumtaz Begum, 55, refused to hand over their daughter to Irfan, which provoked him and he opened fire at Hanif and Mumtaz Begum. Irfan took his infant daughter and fled.

The injured were rushed to a hospital where doctors said that Mumtaz Begum had suffered two bullets in abdomen and Hanif had received a bullet in his arm.
