Iran calls for continuation of intifada

TEHRAN, March 12: Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on Tuesday for continuation of the Palestinian intifada.

“Only the continuation of intifada could break the deadlock in Palestine,” Khamenei said at his weekly theology class.

He criticized some Muslim countries for not fulfilling their “obligation toward Palestine” and not even voicing support for the Palestinians.

“There is a group of people (in the Islamic world) preferring the name of Palestine to be forgotten and the legitimacy of the Palestinian struggle to be doubted,” Khamenei said.
