JI asks exiled politicians to return, face cases

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, March 10: The deputy chief of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Liaqat Baloch, has asked exiled politicians Nawaz Sharif, Benazir Bhutto and Altaf Hussain to return and face the cases pending against them.

Speaking at a party convention at Pind Beguwal near here on Sunday, the JI leader said the religio-political parties had decided to contest the forthcoming general elections from one platform to thwart the designs of secular forces.

Mr Baloch expressed his concern over the present political and economic conditions in the country.

He said the US-led coalition had violated war conventions by subjecting Afghanistan to worst kind of carpet bombing and mass killings.
