US airstrikes condemned

By Our Correspondent

MINGORA, March 9: Afghan National Party President Khairul Hakeem Hakeemzai advocate has condemned the fresh air strikes by the US-led forces in Afghanistan, and termed it a drive against the Pakhtoons on the pretext of fight against Al Qaeda and Taliban.

Mr Hakeemzai, in a statement issued on Saturday, said the United States and its allies had launched a campaign for exterminating the Pakhtoons living in Tora Bora, Herat, Spin Boldak, Kandahar and Gardez regions.

He alleged that the drive had been launched only to bring the Northern Alliance to power in Afghanistan.
