ABBOTTABAD, March 9: Three people were killed and two seriously injured when a Suzuki van collided with a Datsun pick-up in front of the CMH Abbottabad late Friday night.

The pick-up (No. Bannu B1029) was on its way back to Peshawar after delivering some goods and was taking a U-turn in front of the CMH when the van (No. ADC 476), coming from Abbottabad, collided with the pick-up. As a result three van passengers died on the spot. They were identified as Imtiaz, son of Awal Khan; Sabir Hussain Shah, son of Syed Ahmed Shah; and Habib Ahmed. All of them were from Abottabad.

Pick-up passengers Arif, son of Abdul Qayyum of Karimpura, Peshawar, and Nasrat (driver) were admitted to hospital where the condition of both is stated to be critical. The police have registered a case under sections 289/320 and 337.
