KARACHI, March 8: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has directed the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) authorities to rectify the sewerage system of Malir Town within a week positively and a certificate to this effect be obtained from the Town Nazim.

In case of non-compliance, disciplinary action against the responsible officials will be taken as per rules.

He said this during a visit on Friday to Malir Town where he took notice of leakages in the sewerage lines in different places and the problems of water supply.

He also paid a surprise visit to the Sindh Government Hospital Saudabad and reviewed the conditions there. He enquired after the patients and talked to them about the facilities provided to them by the hospital administration.

He also met doctors in the emergency ward of the hospital and directed the hospital management to take good care of patients.

Later the city Nazim then had a detailed visit to Jaffar Tayyar Society. He went to Central Imam Bargah and there met the area notables.

He instructed the town authorities to maintain law and order during the month of Muharram-ul- Haram and ensure that the roads leading to the Imam Bargah were clean.

On this occasion he assured the residents of Jaffar Tayyar Society that their problems relating to water supply and sewerage would be solved in the near future.—APP\PPI
