Indian troops continue firing

MUZAFFARABAD, March 7: The Indian troops targeted the two sectors in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, the second consecutive day, with small and big arms, but no fresh casualties were reported.

The superintendent of police, Raja Ghulam Sarwar, told Dawn here that the villages in Samahni and Khuiratta sectors, located respectively in the southern districts of Bhimbher and Kotli, were targeted by the enemy troops without any provocation, using machineguns and mortars.

Meanwhile, a resident of Chatra village, Jamal son of Faiz Mohammad, who was injured in Indian shelling on Feb 27, died on Thursday, police said.
