KARACHI, March 5: At least eleven vehicles — six cars and five motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city on Tuesday, police said.

Six cars were hijacked and three were stolen while three motorcycles were hijacked and two were stolen in different parts of the city on Tuesday.

A car (ABY-803), belonging to Mrs Sadiqa Ahmed, a government school teacher, was stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal. Mrs Ahmed told Dawn that her servicebook and other documents relating to her promotion were also in the car.

Police claimed recovery of four vehicles (JL-5640, J-3895, PL-1687 and D-24343) from different parts of the city.

DIE OF BURNS: Three persons died of burn injuries at Civil Hospital on Tuesday.

Police said Faisal, 26, Shahnaz, 30 and Shahnawaz, 43, had been admitted to the hospital from different parts of the city with severe burn injuries.
