HYDERABAD, March 5: Hyderabad Zila Nazim Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman has said that responsibility for the eradication of polio from the district rested on the shoulders of the Nazims of the union councils and the supervisors of the respected areas.
He was talking to the Nazims of the talukas and union councils and the councillors at a meeting held at the Sir C.J. Institute of Psychiatry here on Monday.
DEMO: The activists of the SPSF (SB) staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Monday in connection with the students day.
Speaking at the rally, the SPSF (SB) leaders, Karim Soho, Faisal Arain and others, strongly opposed the construction of the greater Thal canal project and demanded of the federal government to shelve the project.
They also demanded the arrest of the murderers of Murtaza Bhutto and his companions.
