Published March 5, 2002

KARACHI, March 4: The Sindh government, on the intervention of City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, on Monday reinstated the services of all the 17 doctors who were relieved of their jobs by provincial local government department on July 1,2001.

These doctors were discharging their duties at different hospitals of the city government.

The City Nazim had written a letter to the provincial chief secretary, requesting him to regularize the services of these doctors on the plea that their services were needed for various hospitals and dispensaries of the city government.

The City Nazim, who had also raised the issue at the levels of Sindh governor and National Reconstruction Bureau chairman, finally succeeded in getting extension to the period of ad hoc appointment of these doctors from July 1, 2001 to Aug 31, 2002.
