KARACHI: NED declares results


KARACHI, March 2: NED University has announced the results of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) final year Electronics Engineering annual examinations of 1997-98 batch along with supplementary examinations results of various other batches.

Adeel Razi, seat No 554, bagged first position; Uzma Afsheen, seat No 688, stood second, and Mohammad Faraz Siddiqui, seat No 602, bagged third position in the exams.

About 128 candidates were declared successful in B.E. Electronics Engineering final year annual examinations of 1997-98 batch in first division, while only one candidate was declared pass in second division.

Results of six candidates were withheld. Only one candidate, with seat No 619, was declared pass in B.E. final year Electronics Engineering supplementary examinations of 1996-98 batch.

EXAMS: The NED University has announced that second-year Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering supplementary examinations of 1999-2000 batch will commence on March 18.

Last date for submission of exam forms has been fixed as March 12 with a fee of Rs1500.

First-year Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering supplementary examinations will start from March 12. Last date for submission of exam forms is March 7.

SILVER JUBILEE: The silver jubilee anniversary of NED University of Engineering and Technology was celebrated on Friday under the auspices of NED University Employees’ Association. The ceremony was largely attended by students, employees and office bearers of the association.

The programme commenced with hoisting of banners, distribution of badges, exchange of flowers and cutting of a cake by NED vice chancellor Abul Kalam. This was followed by prayers for the university’s prosperity and progress.—PPI
