Poland to sell India weapons worth $147m
WARSAW, March 1: Poland plans to sell India an arms package, including tank systems and technical assistance vehicles, worth 147 million dollars Polish Deputy Defence Minister Janusz Zemke said on Friday.
In the next 12 months, he said, Poland will deliver 250 weapons-guidance systems for the T-72 tank.
“Polish companies won the contract in the face of competition from Italian and French firms,” Zemke told a press conference on his return from a trip to India and Indonesia.—AFP
