Two POs killed

SAHIWAL, Feb 20: Police killed two proclaimed offenders in an encounter in Basti Kodan near Kamir Town on Wednesday evening.

The Kamir police, on a tip off that Anwar and his accomplice were present in Basti Kodan, conducted a raid but the outlaws opened fire which was retaliated. In a three-hour shootout, both the criminals were killed.

Police recovered a Kalashnikov, a gun, a rifle and a revolver lying near the bodies of the dead men.

Police claimed that Anwar was wanted in five dacoity cases. — Correspondent
