Citrus export

SARGODHA, Feb 18: Strenuous efforts are being undertaken to ensure setting up of export processing zone and seasonal dry port near Salam interchange to boost production and export of citrus and other agricultural products.

While addressing the two-day training workshop of growers for cultivation of Kinoo for export, arranged by the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, district Nazim Amjad Ali Noon said the district government was emboldening the citrus growers and exporters to ensure the rise in export of kinoo at large scale in the global markets.

Mr Noon stressed upon the growers and exporters to give receptive attention towards the quality and other aspects of their products. He augmented that such training workshop for exporters and growers would also be organized in March this year.

He said that encouragement of private sector was imperative to check employment problems, and the district government would provide infrastructure.
