Man held for looting bus

By Our Correspondent

LAKKI MARWAT, Feb 17: Lakki Marwat police has arrested one of the accused involved in the looting of passengers of a bus.

Senior District Police Officer Syed Rajab Ali Shah Zaidi told newsmen that passengers of a Multan-bound bus had been deprived of cash and valuables on Indus Highway a few days back when coming from Peshawar.

He said the police were on the lookout for the culprits, described to be three in number. On a tip-off, the police raided the den of the accused in their village and arrested one Mohammad Sidddique, son of Mohammad Shafiq.

The SDPO said the police had also found clues to the whereabouts of other two accused who, it believed, had crossed over to Fata.

Police have also recovered a cycle, a double-barrel gun and a wristwatch from an accused.
