India drop Gagan

NEW DELHI, Feb 16: Forward Gagan Ajit Singh, who led the Indian team to the junior world cup in Hobart last year, was left out of the 18-player Indian squad named Friday for the World Cup in Kuala Lumpur.

Midfielder Baljit Singh Saini, who recovered recently from a bout of chicken pox, has been named to the squad for the tournament which starts on Feb 24.
