Rs4.5m prize bonds looted

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 13: Eight unidentified robbers on Wednesday looted prize bonds worth Rs4.5 million on the GT Road near Kala Shah Kaku, some 39 kilometres from here.

Three prize bond dealers were on their way to Lahore from Gujranwala by car when they were intercepted by armed robbers riding on motorcycles. They fled after snatching from them brief cases containing the prize bonds.

Contingents of Ferozewala and Muridke Saddar police besieged the area and started their efforts to trace the culprits.
