Case against oil thieves

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 13: The Shahkot police on Tuesday claimed to have registered cases against some thieves for stealing oil from the Pak Arab Oil Refinery.

Reports revealed the accused had perforated the steel pipeline passing near Chak 180/RB, Shahkot.

Noticing a shortage, the management got a raid conducted and learnt the thieves had installed an extra pipe with the main supply line.

The police are in search of the culprits.

POSTS: Local Punjab Association Subject Specialist President Muhammad Ihsan Malik has urged the government to fill the posts of teachers in the district.

Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said nearly 200 vacancies of the teachers were lying in various schools in the district, creating difficulties for the pupils.

DCO: The government should provide maximum facilities to the literary societies to help promoting education.

This was stated by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Khusro Pervez Khan at the inaugural meeting of the Halqa Arbab-i-Zauq here on Tuesday.

Organization convener Javed Jabbar said all the intellectuals and poets would gather at the platform of the society.
