Doctor shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI, Feb 12: A 40-year-old doctor was shot dead at the Faiz-ur-Rehman Hospital in Metroville, in Orangi Town district West on Tuesday night.

Dr Rashid Mehdi was about to open his car door, parked near the hospital, after completing his duty at around 9.30pm when two unidentified motorcyclists shot him dead. Two bullets pierced through his skull and the assailants fled.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
